What problem does Rank Math for Next.js solve?

Rank Math's WordPress interfaces rely on WordPress routes, options and hooks. This port replaces those primitives with Next.js routes, components and adapters while retaining the original administrative structure.

Is it ready to use?

The reviewed README identifies Rank Math SEO 1.0.275 as the upstream baseline, not this port's release number. No GitHub release was published at the reviewed revision.

Rank Math for Next.js local module dashboard with account services disconnected
Actual local dashboard captured from the reviewed source on September 7, 2026, with account services disconnected. Module controls are the application's default development state, not proof of connected providers or measured SEO results.

What does Rank Math for Next.js do?

  • Adapt the dashboard, setup wizard, general settings, titles/meta and sitemap settings to Next.js routes.
  • Provide focus-keyword, readability, snippet, robots, schema and social-preview editing workflows.
  • Expose modules for analytics, SEO analysis, redirects, 404 monitoring, schema templates and link graphs.
  • Use Next-native adapters for metadata, sitemaps, robots, feeds and scheduled work.
  • Separate runtime storage, permissions, authorization and provider integrations behind contracts.

How do I install Rank Math for Next.js?

Before you install

  • A Node.js/npm development environment compatible with the repository's Next.js dependencies; review package.json and the lockfile before installation.
  • Local .env.local configuration copied from .env.example. Provider-backed features need their own credentials and, where applicable, entitlements.
  • Production use requires durable storage and a real session/authentication integration instead of relying on local-development defaults.

Clone the independent port and follow its source-development workflow. Copy .env.example to .env.local before starting the local server:

git clone https://github.com/foulfoxhacks/Rank-Math-for-NextJS.git
cd Rank-Math-for-NextJS
npm install
# Copy .env.example to .env.local and configure it.
npm run dev
# Repository verification commands:
# npm run typecheck
# npm run build

The README uses http://localhost:3000 for development. Its default data/runtime.json store is for local development; replace it with an appropriate persistent adapter before a production deployment.

What are the known limits?

  • This is an independent derivative port, not an official Rank Math integration. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or supported by Rank Math.
  • The upstream baseline number does not certify feature parity, production readiness or paid-provider access. Review the adaptation notes and configure external integrations separately.
  • The local dashboard was launched for the screenshot with account services disconnected. This does not validate provider integrations, SEO outcomes or production readiness.

Where is the documentation?
